WWW Wednesday #1

Happy Wednesday! I discovered this tag today from Bloodthirsty Little Beasts blog and am hoping to make this a weekly thing. This tag asks three questions: what am I currently reading, what did I just read, and what am I planning on reading? It is a simple and fun tag and I hope you join in the fun! Please check out the original post here by TAKING ON A WORLD OF WORDS.

(This is a tag formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and now hosted by Sam at Taking On A World of Words.)

What are you currently reading?

I am currently on book 2 of the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas. I started reading this series last week and can’t put it down!

I am also reading The Odyssey by Homer (translated by Emily Wilson) on my lunch breaks at work. I read it in one of my English classes in high school and loved it. What made me pick it back up again was the fact that this is the first translation by a woman, I couldn’t say no to that!

What did you recently finish reading?

As I stated above, I have jumped down the Throne of Glass rabbit hole and am enjoying the ride so far! Celaena is an absolute treat and I just love all her sass and badassery.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Once I finish Crown of Midnight I will be taking a break from the series to read a book for my YA book club. The pick for this month is Little and Lion by Brandy Colbert and I have heard many good things about it!

After that I will be picking back up the Throne of Glass series with Heir of Fire, I just hope Crown of Midnight doesn’t leave off with a huge cliffhanger!

What are you reading? Did you like what you last read? Any plans for future reads?Did you also do a WWW post? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Great post but I’m just saying don’t break from ToG for too long, I did at the point your at and I wish I hadn’t because if you think it’s good now, it gets a hundred times better from here! Hope you carry on with the posts! 🙂

  2. *smirks* You’re going to want to pick up the third book right away after CoM 😉
Lol, but so glad to see you enjoying the Throne of Glass series, it’s one of my all-time favorites! Like someone else said in the comments, the books continue to get better the deeper you get into the series!
    Happy reading!

      1. Bahaha, you got this!
Lol okay, bad suggestion here, but you could always read Heir of Fire really quickly in order to get to your book club pick…. 😉 😉
(jk don’t do that because you probably want to take your time with HoF and fully enjoy it)
And yesss, Maas is an amazing writer!

      2. Oh man if I did that I would be showing up to book club desperately trying to finish our book before we started! 😂 If everything goes as planned (hah!) I will finish CoM tomorrow, read my club’s book Sunday, and then start HoF Monday. Hopefully I can last one day without starting Hof! 😉
